A SLAP TO THE FACE

 "A slap in the face":

Trump's proposal to purchase Argentine beef has left ranchers feeling deceived For the first time in ten years, Destinee Weeks and her husband, who oversee a herd of roughly 250 cattle in northern Oklahoma, started to turn a profit this year.

Weeks was therefore taken aback and disappointed to hear that President Trump intended to import additional beef from another nation. She remarked, "It feels like a slap in the face to rural America." "

It makes you feel overlooked and invisible." Due to a reduced supply of cattle, beef prices have been skyrocketing in the United States. Trump said on Sunday that one way to cut costs might be to purchase beef from Argentina. The president has already consented to.

American agricultural organisations and cattle ranchers quickly opposed the proposed agreement, claiming it would harm ranchers. In an interview with reporters on Sunday, however,

Trump defended the action, saying that "Argentina is fighting for its life." Additionally, he asserted on Truth Social that ranchers have benefited from his global tariffs.

Trump posted on Wednesday, saying, "The Cattle Ranchers, who I love, don't understand that the only reason they are doing so well, for the first time in decades, is because I put Tariffs on cattle coming into the United States."

The White House announced plans on Wednesday to quadruple the tariff-rate quota for beef imports from Argentina, despite days of verbal spats between the president and ranchers.

The Department of Agriculture unveiled an action plan to assist domestic cattle ranchers on the same day. Although the USDA's initiative was a step in the right direction, the United States Cattlemen's Association expressed "deep concern" about the decision to buy more beef from overseas.

In a statement, USCA president Justin Tupper said, "A deal of this magnitude with Argentina would undercut the very foundation of our cattle industry."
