Cole Palmer is expected to make a speedy recovery from his injury. Give a thorough synopsis.

Chelsea striker Cole Palmer looks set to come back from a stubborn groin problem, with his likely return slated for late November or early December 2025. After he hit a snag in his healing process, boss Enzo Maresca said on October 17 that Palmer would be sidelined for six more weeks. This pushed back his comeback from an earlier hope that he'd be ready after the October international pause. Here's a breakdown of what's going on:

Injury: Palmer suffers from a long-lasting groin problem that got worse in September during Chelsea's game against Manchester United.

Setback: He was supposed to come back after the October international break, but this got pushed back following a meeting within the club about his ongoing issue. Maresca confirmed it would take longer for him to recover saying the club wants to make sure Palmer is healthy before he plays again.

Rehabilitation: Palmer isn't training with the whole team right now, but he's going through his recovery process.

Targeted Return: Word is that he might be back on the field around late November or the start of December in time to play crucial matches against Barcelona and Arsenal.

Impact: Palmer has played in four games this season because of the ongoing problem. Chelsea has needed to adapt to the loss of their main creative playmaker and goalscorer from last season

 while he's been out.
