Weapons”, the latest horror saga starring Julia Garner, Josh Brolin, and Alden Ehrenreich, emerged victorious at the domestic box office as well, earning it’s studios including New Line and Warner Brothers $27.5 million from 73 international markets. The film did complement the storyline featuring a town with 17 missing kids.

With an impressive international box office total of $70 million, Weapons is set to become one of the most talked about horror films of the year. The movie’s U.K. gross of $3.6 million is bragworthy as well, alongside it’s $2.7 million haul from Mexico, $2 million from France and $1.8 million from Australia.


Disney didn’t lag behind with it’s movie, Freakier Friday, garnering $15.5 million from 46 international territories as well. The movie is a sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday, starring the famous duo of Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan who came back for the sequel as a mother daughter pair who swap bodies.


Disney and Marvel's project "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" raked in $17.5 million over the weekend. This brings the comic book remake's global gross to $434.2 million in just three weeks since release. Prior to the pandemic, Marvel movies consistently grossed over a billion dollars, but in recent years, the ticket sales for superhero movies have taken a hit. "Fantastic Four" is poised to make less than "Superman" which is produced by their rival studio, DC. "Superman" currently stands at a global haul of $578.8 million and $5.8 million of the earnings came from international markets.

Universal is also celebrating a milestone as "Jurassic World Rebirth" earns $16 million in overseas markets. This puts the movie at $800 million and counting which puts the movie at $800 million and counting which puts it at over $800 million. While this is a noteworthy figure, it is far less than the “Jurassic World Dominion” the most recent movie of the franchise which grossed over a billion at $1.1 billion. “Jurassic World Rebirth" did have a production cost of $180 million which is less than the previous "Jurassic" films. In animation, the studio's sequel "The Bad Guys 2" did add $9.3 million to it's international total earnings, bringing it to $83.9 million
